Geoffrey Stewart, Systems Administrator for the Bureau of Economic and Business Research, came to BEBR from the University of Florida's Department of Housing and Residence Education. As the department's Network Administrator, he was responsible for renovating, expanding, and upgrading the department's server facilities. Major projects included creating a Risk Assessment analysis, Business Resumption Plan (BRP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP), developing a multi-site, redundant, and real-time replicative Campus-SAN (Storage Area Network), and integrating other departments within the Division of Student Affairs into the Housing network, BRP/BCP, and Risk Assessment protocols.
Prior to Housing and Residence Education, Geoffrey was employed at the University of Florida Libraries, Department of Computer Systems and Operations as a Computer Repair Technician and Systems Administrator. Major projects included development and integration of new public computer security methods and protocols, development of the Library's forum sites, and assistant to the Network Manager managing the Library's server farms.
