Dr. James F. Dewey received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Florida in 1998 and has been an economist with the Economic Analysis Program of the Bureau of Economic and Business Research since 1998. Dr. Dewey has conducted numerous research projects for both the Florida Department of Education and the Florida Department of Transportation. He has published research on education production functions and the political economy of regulated industries.
Dr. Dewey's current research interests include regional labor market equilibrium, spatial variation in the cost of living, the fiscal impact of regional growth, and the effect of transportation infrastructure on regional growth.
