Martin Smith joined the Bureau of Economic and Business Research in 2006 after attaining a B.S. degree in computer science at the University of Florida. As part of the IT group, he works with many of BEBR's other groups and members to manage data and provide data-related services.

Martin also works as a Web developer and programmer to improve BEBR's Web site and to eliminate legacy applications in favor of newer, less error-prone, Web-based systems.
